To All A Good Night is now available!
Hello, Itch Followers!
I have a new game. It's about Christmas.
It is, more specifically, about my feelings about Christmas, which range from amusement to confusion to a vague, directionless disgust. When I'm that ambivalent about something, you know I gotta make a game about it.
I hope you'll have fun with it this holiday season. I think it's a little too dour to play with children, but I thought that about For the Queen too, and people absolutely love to play that with their kids. Use your judgement.
I wrote it in a couple days, and played with StorySynth, my favourite tool for quickly prototyping and playtesting game ideas. It has a "Shuffled" format that is essentially a digital deck of story prompts with a pre-determined shuffled-in ending. It's digital For the Queen, in its most efficient form. I recommend this tool to all new TTRPG designers. It's fun.
This is the first "Descended From The Queen" game I've ever released. It feels like a cheap Christmas Album, a callous cash-grab, a Simpsons Christmas Boogie or perhaps Snoop Dogg's Christmas in tha Dogghouse. But, like everything I can actually bear to release in public, it does come from the heart.
I would love, love, LOVE to know if you actually play this, and what you think! Drop me a line here, on twitter, instagram, or my Patreon.
Merry Christmas.
